KM January Favorites

February 2, 2021

I decided I wanted to devote a space each month to tell you about the things that I am loving! It can be a simple idea, something from the dollar section or all the way to an investment piece. Sometimes I wish people would share the small things that bring them joy or make their lives easier, so here we are!

These are items that have done just that for me!

Egg Container

I had the smaller egg container but I was always having to stack as it only had a few slots for overflow. The big one has made alllll my dreams come true. No egg cartons stacked in the fridge, and the chaos is no more.

Smart Plugs

Smart Plugs

Smart plugs are a dreeeeeam! Whether we are gone and want lights on for security reasons or forget to leave a light on for the dog, these can be controlled by our phone and the task is done. We also recently swapped tvs in our bedroom and the timer doesn’t work on the tv with the new update 😒 Sooooo we have a smart plug and it has the timer feature, so crisis averted!

Iron Flask

We bought these ‘flasks’ specifically for traveling and beach use, but I now use mine every single day. It keeps the drink cool and no sweat puddles like you get from your standard tumblers. This bad boy is attached to my hip on the daily now.

P Necklace

Necklace

I had a simple (and verrrrrry cheap) P necklace for our wedding. P for Patrick. and it literally scratched and tarnished immediately. I actually bought it to get free shipping and make my cost of my order go down, that’s how cheap it was. I wasn’t planning on using it for the wedding but I fell I love with it. When it was in shambles, I wanted a replacement. I found this one that is modern and classic and I ADORE.

Small Gold Hoop Earrings

Small Gold Hoop Earrings

Finding the right version of these was more challenging than I expected. I wanted some weight to them. These are now my daily wear if not my standard studs I have had for over 2 years now.

Ordinary Products

Retinol / Hyaluronic Acid / Niacinamide

I have always had blemishes, but with stress and hormones and anything else you can think of from the past year it only got worse. Literally nothing was working… Then I discovered these three magical products that have seriously saved my skin and my sanity.

I use the Retinol every night. Some retinol can irritate your skin, but this one does not for me personally. Retinoids are important because they help with fine lines and wrinkles, collagen production, and exfoliation over time. It is encased in Squalane oil, which makes it that more hydrating.

Hyaluronic Acid helps hold moisture in your skin and allows for plumping. It also helps reduce fine lines and wrinkles! I use this every night and every morning! Allllll the plumping!

Niacinamide is a vitamin B3 derivative and reduces skin blemishes and congestion. It also evens skin tone! I use this every morning under my Hyaluronic Acid.

Dewalt Orbital Sander

Dewalt Orbital Sander

I have been refinishing a nightstand/dresser for our spare bedroom (just waiting on the hardware to get here to be declared done!) and sanding that down would not have been possible without my Dewalt Sander! By hand it would have taken foreverrrrrrrrrr. And ain’t nobody got time for that. The sander was a perfect piece to allow this project and many more ahead.

Smart Doorbell

We originally got the Ring doorbell that everyone and their mom has, but it was chunky, didn’t fit into our narrow space and if I’m honest, I didn’t love the aesthetic. We instead got this doorbell and it’s been a dream! We love it and its thin and more our aesthetic. Triple win.

Spot Cleaner

We let the dogs on the furniture. Like it or not, we do. And paws and living life can take a beating on fabric. We used this spot cleaner to get it cleaned up. If you follow on Instagram Stories, you know that what came out of that couch was repulsive! Let’s be serious, I’m never going to schedule and pay for a professional cleaner on the regular, so this little tool does the trick in getting out the yucks without all of that.

Smart Garden

We have dreams of a garden some day and this is our starting point. We have this little smart garden and our little pods are booming! We started with basil and already can’t wait to see what else we can grow. Its fun to watch our little plants grow and here soon be able to cook with them! Practical and beautiful!

Spotify Cooking Playlist

Cooking Playlist

I love background music that creates and ambiance. I found this cooing playlist and it is now a regular when cooking and working around the kitchen. It soothes me and brings joy to the daily task. Try it out in your own kitchen!

I hope sharing these simple things that have brought us joy and ease in our day help with yours! It’s the little things in life, am I right!?

Cheers,
KM
