Last summer, I took some of those pennies I had saved to give my outdoor space a little bit of a facelift. I had a plan and was able to make most of those updates. I am still looking to purchase new cushion covers for my furniture from the bleaching that naturally happens (my back patio gets pounded by the sun). The biggest changes were the new coffee table (cement look really changed the woven space and modernized it) and layered a circular rug on top of a larger rectangular rug.
At the end of the season, I noticed that the circular rug started to curl up on the edges. It made the space look a bit disheveled and also created a trip hazard. I sought out a solution over the winter and tried out what I felt was the best option based on the research I had done.
If you follow along on Instagram and Instagram Stories, you saw the trial run a few weeks ago (after spring cleaning with my favorite little power washer that could). Well, I am happy to report that I dig the solution. It looks fabulous and is VERY cost effective. I did have to replace two pieces, but that might have been user error and not cleaning the space of debris as well as I should have when starting.
This is the adhesive roll I chose and believe it to work fabulously. All it requires is a pair of scissors. I cut strips of six inches long or so and placed them around the rugs edges as closely as I could. This product then peel back the protective layer like you would on any other double sided product.
After removing the outer layer, you simply press down to help the adhesive stick and the carpet to stay in place.
Look at the difference it made!
This could be used in interior spaces if you have issues with curling or movement of your rug. Hope this is helpful in tidying your space and making it what you want it to be!
And these are officially my favorite lounge sandal. Love.
