I’m traveling for work in beautiful Chicago this week. While the air is crisp, it is warming up in the midwest. I am here for a conference and trying to soak up all the wisdom I can while I am here.
One of the key factors with traveling is how to manage the hair. Let’s be serious. Water and climate play such a key factor in how the hair is going to react in each setting. I have wild woman hair with lots of volume and a mind of its own. For me, a key factor in how I feel about myself is how my hair handles. When it’s humid or the water makes a bad reaction, my self confidence takes a few steps back. That’s just reality.
To help decrease those not so great feelings, a few tools are always in my luggage. Each plays a key role and help guarantee a hair day that’s not off the rails!
Revlon Oval One-Step Hair Dryer & Volumizing Styler
The Salon One-Step Hair Dryer and Volumizer helps with volume and shine in a single step. The brush itself helps create frizz -free volume (all the praise hands) like a salon blowout at home.
BaByliss® PRO Nano™ 1″ Titanium Flat Iron
This straightener is longer and more narrow than any other straightener I have owned so it has taken me some time to get use to. The scale of temperature goes up to 50. I set my temperature at 45 based only type of hair, but you should read what is best for you and your hair. I have grown to love this little tool. The curls hold longer and my hair is more manageable.
Panasonic Nanoe™ Hair Dryer
I purchased this blow dryer a few years ago. I was looking for an average priced blow dryer that wouldn’t kill my hair and was light weight for packing. The special technology used in this hair dryer infuses more moisture into your hair than the usual ion hair dryers, so a plus. The diffuser elements allow for my curly hair to go curly too!
Conair Tangle Pro Detangler Wood Paddle Hair Brush
The Paddle Brush has a wide surface that makes it easy to detangle and smooth larger sections of hair. Use it for blow dry styling to create sleek, straight styles.
Kristin Ess Dry Finish Working Texture Spray
Hands down, the best affordable dry texturizing spray. I truly mean that. Create a soft matte texture or lived-in look by applying a light veil all over.
Those are my core 5 kids! Those are my lifelines to maintain my fro-tastic hair. If you are in the market for any of these tools, I highly suggest any of these five. For more Health and Beauty Tools, you can check out this blog!
