Bridal Shower: Sweetly Southern

September 11, 2013

EEEEEEEEEEeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeekkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk!!!!!!!!
This past weekend I had the great honor of hosting a Sweetly Southern Bridal Shower for my long time, best friend. Born 2 months apart and friends every step of the way, made the morning a blessing to my heart. The theme was Sweetly Southern and guests were asked to wear their favorite sun dress, pearls, and boots. The brunch consisted of all things that the bride loves.

Breakfast themed with ivories, peach, and sangria as the colors for the day.
Let’s just say I had the BEST help a girl could ask for when planning this party from 1,000 miles away 🙂

Brownies have always been a must when our families collide, just added a little lace over lay 🙂

As kids, me and Lindsey used to make a batch of Rice Krispie Treats, cut the pan in half, sit on the floor, watch movies, and tell the other not to touch the others half. Hehehe… So we transformed them into cute little cupcakes with gold sprinkles.

The Hunt family is big into breakfast, the only thing missing here are the grits.

What a special weekend. And I think I only made a true fool of myself once… when I burst into tears… I am such a girl…

Lindsey, you were beautiful and I hope you felt loved to the million-th percent. I love you with all my heart and hope your Bridal Shower and Bachelorette Party were everything and more than you ever dreamt of. I love you!

And a very special thank you to my mom, Donna, and the Mother of the Bride, Elaine, for putting together crafts/ decor for me while I was 1,000 miles away. Another thanks to Donna, Kylie, Elaine, and Tina for their help with food preparation and making sure everything was in working order when I landed on Friday evening. And yet another thank you to my dad and the father of the bride for doing the manly duties in gathering wood, moving furniture and the list goes on. And still another to Ashley for her help in preparation, bringing supplies, and being wonderful. And the final shout out just to my mom for keeping me sane and handling so much of this and doing it like a champ. I love you all and am so grateful for each and everyone of you for making this a success for Lindsey. Hugs and high fives all around!

Until next time…
